Busy General Practice Firm in Essex County/ Newark is actively seeking an Immigration & Civil Litigation/Criminal Attorney to join our growing law practice. Experience with Civil Litigation/Criminal law is preferred and a plus. Perfect candidate will have a hybrid role.
Job Type: Full-time 8 am to 5 pm. Weekends may be required. References will be checked if you are considered for the position.

Skills and Qualifications:
Admission to New Jersey Bar in good standing with 10+ years of experience in immigration and civil litigation/criminal defense in the United States.
Ability to handle a high caseload
Detail oriented, organized, and quick
Spanish and/or Portuguese not required but preferred
Experience with handling application and briefs submissions to EOIR/USCIS/NVC offices as well as attending Immigration master and individual hearings, asylum interview appointments, and family petition/adjustment of status interviews, etc. (preferred).
Experience with Landlord/Tenant, Personal Injury, Workmen's Compensation, Bankruptcy, Family Law (divorce, child support, custody, TRO, etc.) and other areas of law
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent public speaking skills
Ability to work cases either independently or as part of a team, to develop case strategies
MUST have a driver's license and be computer literate.
Attorneys Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide Representation at Removal Proceedings (EOIR) and USCIS Offices
Provide Representation at Civil/ Criminal Hearings and Mediations
Conduct interviews, depositions, and trials
Drafting and submitting motions, complaints, answers, forms and briefs in addition to other court/client correspondence
Conducting complex legal research and case specific analysis
