We are searching for a Manager, Legal Recruiting with a specific focus in Asset Management & Investment Funds. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of lateral lawyer and law student recruitment for the Asset Management & Investment Funds (AMIF) practice area across all U.S. offices.
Primary responsibilities include working with AMIF Practice Area Leaders (PALs) and other practice area management to execute the practice’s growth strategies through strategic recruiting. This includes management of lateral lawyer recruiting efforts; coordination of lawyer on-boarding, orientation, and integration; and coordination of law student outreach, participation in on-campus events, and educating students and law school placement professionals on the AMIF practice area. The Manager is responsible for our Power of Partnership recruitment in collaboration with some of the Firm’s key clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the AMIF PALs and Partners, Office Managing Partners (OMPs), AMIF’s Director of Practice Operations and other administrative members to identify strategic hiring needs for AMIF throughout the Firm’s U.S. offices, and coordinate with global team members regarding international AMIF recruitment needs
Develop relationships and maintain regular contact with legal search firms
Facilitate the Power of Partnership Program in collaboration with AMIF clients and candidates
Responsible for overall coordination of on-campus and job fair interview programs, including pre-OCI law student communications, interviewing lawyer communication and training, facilitation of interview programs, planning and management of pre-OCI events or receptions, oversight of callback interview process, working closely with AMIF PALs and AMIF’s Director of Practice Operations to determine qualified candidates and deliver offers
Review resumes received from candidates and legal search firms, and provide summary information associated with top identified candidates to AMIF PALs for selections to move forward in the interview process; actively manage related follow-up tracking and communication
Facilitate decision-making process and conduct follow-up with candidates and/or legal search firms
Conduct market research on student recruiting hiring trends and collaborate with internal departments (Benefits, Compensation, Library, etc.) as needed; provide regular updates to AMIF leadership and the Legal Recruiting team on trends impacting AMIF student recruiting
Manage development of internal data-driven student recruiting strategies, such as collecting and analyzing historical information about applications, interviews and offers to inform future law school outreach plans
Manage orientation, on-boarding and new hire integration of all lateral AMIF associate hires
Assist in recruitment of other practice area hires such as Practice Support Lawyers, Attorney Specialists, paralegals, etc. as needed
Education and Experience:
4-year, accredited college degree (required)
A minimum of 7 years of recruiting experience (required) preferably in a law firm or law school environment; experience with Asset Management and Investment Funds recruiting preferred

Must be highly motivated, creative, flexible, results-oriented and possess the ability to work independently under pressure with demanding deadlines
Must work well with all levels of firm personnel and must be able to establish effective working relationships throughout the firm
Must possess strong organizational, administrative and word processing skills
Must have proven working knowledge of MS Office, Excel and Outlook
Must be proficient with applicant data tracking software, preferably PeopleSoft Recruit Workforce

Working Conditions:
Desk type position which requires a combination of sedentary and standing activities
Daily use of personal computer and associated software systems
Occasional travel required
