The Cass Elias McCarter Guardian ad Litem Program is seeking attorneys to represent guardians ad litem in Berkeley, Clarendon, Orangeburg/Calhoun, and Williamsburg counties beginning July 1, 2025 and ending June 30, 2026, if not renewed. Representation duties include court appearances, document preparation, legal correspondence, research, hearing preparation, discovery, legal advice, and any other work required to represent volunteer guardians in Department of Social Service Abuse and Neglect proceedings, including matters ancillary to representation in same. Applicants must be in good standing and licensed to practice law in South Carolina.
