Arnold & Porter has an opening for a Professional Development Coordinator in Washington, DC office. The Professional Development Coordinator handles a variety of responsibilities related to the coordination of in-house training programs and firmwide retreats as well as provides support as needed for the associate development process.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assisting in the coordination of in-house training programs.
Developing evaluations and managing follow up for in-house training programs.
Collecting, organizing, and maintaining CLE applications and course materials for in-house training programs.
Work with Talent team to utilize the viIntegrate system for tracking attorney mentoring.
Providing logistical support for firmwide retreats; such as the New Associate Retreat, Summer Associate Training Forum, Trial School, Deposition Skills Training, Mid-Level Leadership Forum and Deal School.
Developing internal marketing emails for the Professional Development Department.
Updating the firmwide training calendar to include all in-house training programs.
Managing and updating the PLI roster and responding to questions as needed.
Coordinating logistics and CLE submissions for PLI groupcasts.
Assisting with the administrative aspects of New Associate integration including the planning and implementation of the New Associates Committee initiatives and coordinating Arnold &Porter Academy trainings.
Coordinating the collection and analysis of feedback from in-house training programs and recommending improvements based on feedback.
Four-year college degree or equivalent experience.
Prior experience with legal professional development and CLE accreditation rules and requirements is a plus.
Minimum of two years of office experience.
Experience in a law firm, corporate or professional environment preferred.
Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite and/or related software.
Ability to demonstrate a high degree of trustworthiness in handling confidential and sensitive information.
Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
Proven reliability, dependability, and motivation.
Excellent organization and communications skills, both oral and written.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while exhibiting a strong attention to detail.
Ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
Exceptional client service.
Flexibility to work additional hours, as necessary.
