The Sr. Manager, Compliance & Ethics (C&E) is responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of compliance program assessments and remediation, ethical and compliance culture surveys and enhancements, regulatory impact assessments, compliance risk assessments, and the compliance continuous improvement program. This role will report to and work with the Director of Compliance Risk Analytics & Insights in the design, enhancement, and operationalization of these enterprise C&E program elements. The Sr. Manager is also responsible for managing people and working with the owners of other enterprise C&E program elements to align and coordinate work and to identify areas for improvement.
What you’ll do in your role.
Oversee the planning and execution of enterprise and targeted compliance risk assessments, participating in the risk assessment process as needed, and leading reporting risk assessment results to compliance leadership.
Perform compliance program assessments to evaluate the design, implementation, and operation of compliance programs and identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Lead all aspects of the implementation and operation of the Enterprise Integrity & Compliance Continuous Improvement Program
Work with the Director, Compliance Risk Analytics & Insights and Sr. Director, Enterprise Integrity & Compliance to develop and implement an ethics and compliance culture program that supports leaders in promoting and reinforcing a culture of ethics and compliance and that measures the strength of that culture.
Supervise the administration of employee culture surveys, reports to management, and enterprise-wide remediation activities.
Design and implement assessment tools and methodologies to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the compliance and ethics program across different business units and functions.
Conduct regular audits and reviews of compliance policies, procedures, practices, and controls to identify gaps, risks, and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as senior management, legal counsel, and business partners, to communicate the results of the assessments and provide recommendations for corrective actions and enhancements.
Partner with other compliance professionals in the planning and execution of compliance risk assessments to identify and assess compliance and ethics risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Develop and maintain reports and dashboards that track and measure the performance and progress of the compliance and ethics program against established goals and benchmarks.
Analyze data and trends to identify emerging issues, standard methodologies, and opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in the compliance and ethics program.
Provide guidance and advice to business units and functions on compliance and ethics issues and optimal strategies,
Monitor and report on the compliance and ethics program performance, activities, and outcomes.
Support internal and external audits related to compliance and ethics matters.
Research and stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards and trends.
The experience you’ll bring.
Bachelor's degree in business, law, or related field
7-10 years of experience in compliance and ethics program design, implementation, and operationalization
7-10 years of experience in planning and conducting risk assessments and coordinating remediation activities.
Strong knowledge of the elements of an effective compliance program and regulatory guidance relating to the design of compliance programs
Strong knowledge of compliance and ethics principles, program elements, standards, and proven methods.
2-4 years of people leadership experience
Certification in compliance and ethics or related field preferred
Strong knowledge of compliance and ethics principles, program elements, standards, and effective approaches.
Ability to conduct risk assessments and compliance program assessments using appropriate methodologies and tools.
Ability to provide practical and effective guidance and advice on compliance and ethics issues.
Ability to monitor and report on compliance and ethics program performance using relevant metrics and indicators.
Excellent communication, presentation, and people skills
High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical judgment
