Interprets and applies legal procedural and evidentiary rules.  3. Applies oral and written communication techniques.  4. Examines and analyzes existing evidence, facts or data against legal precedents.  5. Researches and analyzes law sources to prepare draft memoranda, briefs or arguments for review, approval and use by attorneys.  6. Plans, develops, and implements compliance policies and procedures for administering large or complex departments, programs, or processes.  7. Assists in formulating, evaluating, and implementing University policies to comply with applicable laws and regulations.  8. Reviews requests for public information received by UH System and its universities, assesses which items should be responded to and which are objectionable, and respond accordingly to the requestors.  9. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. This position is one-year appointment.&#xa0;   MQ:  Requires a three-year law degree from an accredited law school. Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline.
