A well-established general practice law firm in Red Oak, Iowa, is seeking a motivated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our dynamic team. The firm is led by experienced attorneys Brian S. Mensen and Ivan E. Miller, and we operate in a variety of legal areas, including family law, estate planning, real estate, probate, civil litigation and tax.
Position: Associate Attorney Location: Red Oak, Iowa
About Us: We are a collaborative and supportive law firm with a reputation for providing exceptional legal services to the community. As a member of our team, you will work closely with two seasoned attorneys and have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a wide range of legal matters. Our firm values professionalism, integrity, and a strong commitment to our clients. Our firm has a rich history in Southwest Iowa of providing excellent representation to all of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations
Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents
Advise clients on legal rights and obligations
Draft contracts, pleadings, and other legal documents
Assist with case management and client communication
Collaborate with other attorneys to deliver quality legal services
Assist with tax preparation
Prepare Title Opinions, deed packages, and closing documents for real estate transactions
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in Iowa (or eligible for admission)
Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Previous legal experience is a plus, but not required
Tax experience preferred
