Position Overview: Cogent is seeking an energetic, versatile, and highly driven attorney to join a growing legal team as Corporate Counsel, Product Attorney. Reporting to the Senior Corporate Counsel for Commercial Healthcare and Compliance, the Product Attorney will be a key member of the Cogent legal team and responsible for advising cross-functional groups, including Commercial, Medical, and Market Access, on all facets of product commercialization. This includes pre-launch planning, regulatory compliance, market access strategy, government programs, patient services and support initiatives, patient advocacy activities, and materials review (advertising/promotion and medical/scientific communications).
Experience: The successful candidate will have a JD, admission in good standing to at least one state bar, and 6+ years’ legal experience within the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry with focused expertise in the areas of commercial healthcare and regulatory law related to the development and commercialization of biopharmaceutical products. Experience within an in-house legal department required; law firm experience is a plus. Prior experience advising a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company through its initial commercial launch is highly preferred.
Location: Waltham, MA. Hybrid, two days a week in office.
Compensation: $235-260k, 20% Bonus, Equity. Exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, and location.
Bar: Admission to at least one state bar in the United States.
