The American Retirement Association is seeking a seeking a Chief Learning Officer (CLO) to lead its talented education and professional development team. The CLO will be an experienced leader who has a mastery of professional education principles. They should possess a deep knowledge of the development and delivery of educational programming, professional designations and credentials, continuing education and the systems and platforms that support these initiatives.
The ideal candidate has a sharp business acumen, exceptional management skills, and can effectively balance and prioritize a variety of strategic and tactical issues. They should be a creative problem-solver and skilled communicator who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. They should keep abreast of best practices, technology, and changes affecting the professional learning field.

Responsibilities:
Set the strategy for the association’s education initiatives, ensuring resources are aligned to maintain the smooth operation of existing programs, while working to develop new offerings as needed.
Lead the team responsible for the full suite of educational products, including product development and delivery and maintenance of online education, credentials, certificates, training, exams, and related resource materials.
Oversee the planning cycle and coordination for all virtual education including webcasts, virtual conferences, and Instructor-led training.
Cross-collaborate with departments, internal and external SMEs, volunteer leaders, contractors, and others to develop best in class education.
Maintain current education and related systems (Learn Upon, Articulate 360, Zoom, You Test Me, Personify) and collaborate with Information Technology team to evaluate future platforms and solutions.
Oversee budget planning, monitor revenue and expenses for departmental projects to meet or exceed projected net revenue goals.
Contribute to continual process improvement through idea generation, technology, and creative approach to increase efficiency, and enhance delivery and attendee experience.
Ability to travel domestically, 2-3 times per year.
