Lanza Law Firm is a trial-focused insurance defense firm representing clients in high-exposure personal injury matters, including catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases. Our practice includes commercial trucking and auto, general liability, premises liability, construction defect, and dram shop litigation.
We are guided by a clear purpose: doing serious work the right way. That purpose is reflected in The LLF Way—integrity, preparation, accountability, professionalism, and optimism.
We believe excellent legal work and a healthy culture go hand in hand. We value lawyers who take their work seriously without taking themselves too seriously—positive, resilient professionals who show up as happy warriors for clients, colleagues, and the courts.
The Role
We are seeking litigation attorneys at various experience levels who want meaningful responsibility, real engagement in their cases, and long-term careers.
Attorneys at our firm are not siloed into narrow tasks. Depending on experience, you will work on matters from inception through resolution, with increasing ownership as skills and judgment develop. Senior attorneys are trusted with significant autonomy; junior attorneys are supported, trained, and given real reps.
What You’ll Do
Responsibilities vary by experience and may include:
Managing or assisting with litigation matters from inception through resolution
Maintaining direct contact with claims professionals, insureds, and clients c (as appropriate to experience)
Taking and defending fact witness and expert depositions
Preparing for and participating in mediations and settlement conferences
Handling written discovery and motion practice
Developing and executing case strategy in collaboration with the team
Preparing cases for trial, including witness and exhibit preparation
Communicating clearly, promptly, and professionally with all stakeholders
Ownership of Cases
We value lawyers who want responsibility. We want lawyers who want the ball. That means being trusted with meaningful reps and accountability.
This is not a spectator practice. It is a place for lawyers who want to be engaged, prepared, and accountable.
Who You Are
We are looking for attorneys aligned with both our practice standards and our culture.
You are someone who:
Is Texas Bar licensed (or awaiting admission) and in good standing
Takes pride in preparation, professionalism, and credibility
Wants to build long-term relationships with clients, carriers, and colleagues
Is positive, resilient, and solution-oriented
Values feedback, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Wants a professional home—not just the next stop
Litigation experience matters, but mindset and character matter just as much.
Basic Requirements & Expectations
Active Texas Bar license (or pending admission)
Commitment to 2,000 billable hours annually, with emphasis on efficiency and quality
Strong written and oral advocacy skills (commensurate with experience)
Professional judgment, reliability, and respect for deadlines
How We Measure Success
Success is measured holistically.
We look for:
High-quality legal work and sound judgment
Ownership of assignments and, over time, cases
Client service, including clear communication and thoughtful reporting
Professional relationships with clients, carriers, counsel, and courts
Contribution to firm culture, including optimism, teamwork, and integrity
Sustainable performance, not short-term burn
What This Is Not
We aren't for you if you are looking for:
A volume-only or churn-and-burn practice
A research-only or back-office role
A scorched-earth litigation culture
A place where hours are the only measure of value
An environment that tolerates cynicism, ego, or negativity
We practice serious law, but we do it with discipline, respect, and optimism.
Why Lanza Law Firm
Real responsibility, matched to experience
Direct access to experienced trial lawyers
Clients who value partnership and preparation
A culture built on trust, professionalism, and optimism
A place to build a long, satisfying litigation career.
If you want to practice high-stakes insurance defense the right way—and be part of a firm that values both excellence and people—we would welcome a conversation.
Confidential inquiries are welcome.
